On June 11, 2019, the United States International Trade Commission (USITC) announced its determination that a U.S. industry is materially injured by quartz surface products from China that the Department of Commerce. (Commerce) has determined are subsidized and sold in the U.S. at less than fair value. As a result of this affirmative determination, Commerce will issue antidumping and countervailing duty orders on imports of quartz surface imports from China.
The Commission also made a negative finding concerning critical circumstances with regard to these imports, so quartz surface imports from China will not be subject to retroactive antidumping or countervailing duties.
