Earlier this week, a critical vulnerability was discovered in the popular messaging application WhatsApp. This vulnerability allows hackers to take complete control over a device by simply initiating a voice call. It is reported that this hack is now being actively used to compromise specific devices.
This issue is especially concerning for many highway carriers that use WhatsApp for monitoring and tracking purposes.
C-TPAT recommends WhatsApp users to immediately upgrade to the current version of the app (iOS - v2.19.51; Android - v2.19.134) or remove it from all mobile devices.
